Dating back to 1915 when Reno station 6VI participated in early ARRL transcontinental relays, amateur radio in Nevada has maintained a proud history of public service. Formally organized as part of the ARRL Pacific Division, the Nevada Section coordinates emergency communications, technical innovation, and volunteer licensing across the Silver State. From mountain repeater networks spanning the Great Basin to active ARES emergency response, the section empowers local clubs and operators dedicated to radio communication.
